Lion of Ido

This week was inspiring for me. It started working on some tracks with artists I am producing. I love producing records because the artists I work with inspire me. Wednesday I had the pleasure of seeing Ryan Star play a sold out show at the mercury lounge. There was a lot of love and support in the room. The band and I did a surprise performance at Rockwood music hall in nyc that night. It was an amazing warm response from a packed room. I am starting to realize only now how the music we make can be unifying. I think that my goal for this year is to bring people together in our performance. What I mean is make the audience feel they are apart of something. That the people are collectively apart of a new movement. That its ok to unfold your arms and take that leap of faith. You can break that ice and let things go. You can sing along, move around, believe in the words, and make them your own. We played in Bennington VT on friday. That feeling was in the room. Even though the room was not packed…the room was not big enough for the atmosphere. We went back to ,Mike, the club owner’s house after the show. I think we wrote about 6 ideas for new songs. There must be something in the air;). We did a radio interview saturday and drove home through a snow storm. The drive home I thought to myself, I love this.
